Hello everyone! Today i want to share our last summer journey to a beautiful island in Java. Perhaps, some of you haven’t heard about this island, because normally when we talk about Indonesia…most people only know about Bali island, since it’s world famous holiday destination. But do you know what? Indonesia has more than 17.000 islands other than Bali and they are also beautiful. Bali becomes more touristy and crowded nowadays, that’s why i don’t really like Bali like I used to.

Okay… now let me introduce all of you to the other beautiful island in Java, it’s called KARIMUNJAWA Island. It’s located in Java Sea, 80-90 km north of Jepara city (Central Java). KarimunJawa is an archipelago of 27 islands. To reach Karimunjawa, we used to travel with Express Ferry ship from Jepara port or Pelabuhan Kartini, it costs Rp 400.000/person for round trip. Children above 2 years old will be counted as adult. With express Ferry ship, it takes around 2 and half hours to reach Karimunjawa. The ships itself is not a big ship so the rocking is quite uncomfortable when the waves are strong. It’s recommended to travel during the dry season or between April and October.

We have a wonderful time there since we booked our journey through Harmoni Karimunjawa. Mas Tri was the contact person and he arranged our trip so nicely that we wouldn’t forget. Everything ran so smoothly and the tour guide and driver were so helpful, friendly, polite, reachable, and punctual. When you want to book a trip to Karimunjawa, they will offer you all in price. It means they give you a package from accomodation, transportation in islands, food (lunch and dinner), a small boat to explore the islands nearby, etc. If you want to upgrade your trip to private tour then you have to pay more, around Rp 1.200.000, but it’s more comfortable for us, since we can arrange our own schedule and no need to rush with others. The package price also varies from the hotels itself. We chose Halo Sustainable Resort for the hotel, and it costs around Rp 2.275.000/person for 3 days and 2 nights trip (all in one). The hotel was so nice, comfortable and clean. The food that was served, was also tasty. We are satisfied with everything there.

Let me show you some Photos from Karimun Jawa. It has clean beach and water. It offers mesmerizing view that we won’t forget. If you want to explore all of the island, then i suggest you to take 4 days trip.

So if you want to visit beautiful island for your holiday, this could really be a nice option to consider. It’s also as beautiful as Bali or even more prettier, and the cost is more reasonable than Bali. This island is suitable for the people who prefer a quiet, relaxing, and nature oriented place to visit. I hope this blog will help you to know more about Indonesia ☺️.
